AIIMS Gorakhpur Recruitment 2026 – Apply for Project Research Scientist-I Post (ICMR CARDINAL Project)

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur, an apex autonomous healthcare institute established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) in eastern Uttar Pradesh, hosts specialized cardiology clinical and epidemiological research facilities. Under the leadership of Dr. Ashutosh Prasad Tripathi (Assistant Professor, Department of Cardiology), the Project Research Scientist-I works on an ICMR-funded translational pilot study: 'CARDINAL: A Pilot Study on Comprehensive AI-driven Risk Detection and Integrated analysis for Advanced cardiovascular care'. The project bridges clinical cardiology with computer science and public health. Daily responsibilities include designing electronic case report forms (eCRFs), developing full-stack web portals using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL, curating multimodal clinical datasets (ECG waveforms, echocardiographic parameters, lipid profiles, clinical risk scores, and patient demographic data), training supervised and deep learning algorithms for 10-year cardiovascular disease risk prediction, conducting field epidemiological visits in Purvanchal communities, and coordinating multicentric research data flows. The working atmosphere is interdisciplinary, rigorous, clinical-academic, and technologically intensive.

Contractual research engagement initially for a period of 6 months (or less), extendable based on bi-annual performance evaluation, project duration, and ICMR funding availability. Stationed at the Department of Cardiology, AIIMS Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh - 273008, with potential field visits.

Offering a competitive consolidated remuneration of ₹56,000/- + 20% HRA (₹11,200/-) totaling ₹67,200/- per month.
