Essential Medical Qualifications: MBBS degree recognized by NMC/IMC Act, 1956, and Postgraduate qualification MD/MS or DNB recognized equivalent by NMC in the concerned specialty.
For Super-Specialities: D.M. / M.Ch. in the respective discipline recognized by NMC.
Teaching / Research Experience:

• Professor: 14 years post-PG teaching experience (or 11–12 years post DM/M.Ch).
• Additional Professor: 10 years post-PG teaching experience (or 7–8 years post DM/M.Ch).
• Associate Professor: 6 years post-PG teaching experience (or 3–4 years post DM/M.Ch).
• Assistant Professor: 3 years post-PG teaching experience (or 0–1 year post 3-year DM/M.Ch).

Professor / Additional Professor: Maximum 58 years as on 13/10/2026. Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Maximum 50 years as on 13/10/2026. Age relaxations: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 5 years, Govt Servants/Ex-Servicemen: 5 years.

1. Access the official recruitment advertisement on the AIIMS Gorakhpur portal (aiimsgorakhpur.edu.in).
