CSIR-TKDL Unit Recruitment 2026: 2 Project Associate-I (Sanskrit) Vacancies

This role is ideally suited for postgraduate candidates holding a Master's or Integrated Master's Degree in Sanskrit, particularly those with a keen interest in the preservation of traditional Indian knowledge and digitization projects. Candidates who have qualified national-level examinations like CSIR UGC/ICAR/ICMR/NET or GATE are highly preferred for the higher remuneration bracket. While not mandatory, prior experience in Sanskrit text translation would be a significant advantage.

Individuals without a Master's degree in Sanskrit or equivalent should not apply. Those seeking permanent government employment will find this contractual, time-bound project unsuitable, as it offers no rights for continuation or absorption into regular CSIR service beyond the project's tenure (maximum 31st March 2027). Candidates unable to attend the in-person written test/interview in New Delhi on 25th March 2026 are also ineligible.

Working with the CSIR-TKDL Unit, an autonomous body under CSIR and the Ministry of Science and Technology, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant project involving the protection of India's traditional knowledge.
