Primary duties include identifying and rescuing runaway, abandoned, distressed, or trafficked children arriving at or transiting through the central bus terminal. Case workers provide immediate emergency care, food, and emotional reassurance, document case details, and promptly produce the rescued children before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) or coordinate with Special Juvenile Police Units (SJPU) and shelter homes. The environment is field-oriented and emotionally demanding, requiring active coordination with bus station personnel, auto/taxi drivers, local police, and district welfare authorities.
