District Court Prayagraj Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 01 Special Judicial Magistrate Post

Eligibility criteria as per Section 11 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023:

• Candidate must hold or have held any post under the Government (retired or serving government official).
• Must possess a degree in Law (LL.B.) or otherwise be well experienced in relation to legal affairs to the satisfaction of the High Court.
• Submission of self-attested certificates and character roll entries (ACR) of the last five years of government service. For ex-Special Judicial Magistrates (ex-SJMs) appointed by the State of U.P., character roll entries are exempt, but they must enclose the best four judgments delivered during their tenure.

The term of office as Special Judicial Magistrate/Special Metropolitan Magistrate shall be four years from the date of assumption of charge or attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.

1. Candidates must fill out the prescribed application form attached with the official notice issued by the Office of the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Court No-1, Prayagraj.
2. Affix a self-attested passport-size photograph on the application form and complete all columns compulsorily (incomplete columns will result in rejection).
3. Enclose self-attested photocopies of educational qualification certificates (High School, Intermediate, Graduation, LL.B., etc.), retirement/service particulars, and character roll entries (ACR) of the last five years of government service (or four best judgments for ex-SJMs).
4. Submit the complete physical application to the District Judge, District Court Prayagraj (handed over to Sri Shankar Lal Yadav) on or before 17.10.2026.
5. Crucial Warning: Applications sent directly to the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad will stand rejected summarily.
