Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) act as the vital bridge between marginalized rural and tribal communities in the hill district of West Karbi Anglong and the institutional legal aid delivery machinery. Daily duties include staffing Front Offices, Legal Care & Support Centres in remote villages, organizing legal awareness camps on tribal welfare, land rights, child marriage prevention, domestic violence, POCSO, and consumer protection, visiting local police stations and jails to ensure unrepresented persons receive free legal defense, and assisting victims of road accidents or natural calamities. The role is honorary and socially rewarding.
