Educational Qualification

Pass in SSLC (10th Standard) and One-year Diploma in Safety / Fire & Safety from a Government-recognized institute or Public Sector Undertaking. Candidates must possess a minimum of one year training or post-qualification experience in the safety domain within a Public Sector Undertaking, factory, construction company, or engineering company.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 30 years as on 12.11.2026 (born on or after 13.11.1996). Age relaxation is admissible for Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines up to 45 years. PwBD candidates are not eligible due to hazardous dockyard activities.

Fast-paced ship repair and dry dock environment at Cochin Shipyard Mumbai Ship Repair Unit (CMSRU) situated within the Mumbai Port Trust premises. Safety Assistants monitor hot work (welding, gas cutting), confined space entries inside ship hulls, gas monitoring, PPE compliance, and scaffold safety. Physical fitness and vigilant round-the-clock safety patrol are critical.

Contractual engagement initially for project requirements, extendable annually based on individual performance and shipyard operational requirements up to a maximum period of 5 years.
