Essential Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade point average.

Consultants in the Works Accounts Section operate in an active, compliance-oriented academic administrative environment at IIT Delhi Hauz Khas campus. Daily operational responsibilities include scrutiny and processing of civil and electrical contractor bills, Running Account (R/A) bills, final bills, and Measurement Book (MB) records in accordance with works accounting procedures and General Financial Rules (GFR). The role demands high diligence in examining tender/RFP documents, ensuring GFR compliance, assisting internal and statutory audits, and managing periodic account reconciliation between the Estate Office, Dean (Infra), and Finance divisions.

The engagement is purely on contract basis initially for 1 year, extendable up to a maximum period of 3 years subject to institutional requirement and satisfactory annual work performance. The posting is stationed at IIT Delhi Main Campus, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, following regular central educational institution office hours (Monday to Friday) without pan-India transfer liabilities.

As a purely contractual engagement, this position does not confer regular cadre seniority or a standard promotional ladder on the permanent establishment of IIT Delhi. However, an annual remuneration increment ranging between 3% and 10% is admissible based on performance assessment by Reporting and Reviewing Officers, subject to the upper limit of ₹45,000 per month.
