This role is ideally suited for highly experienced, retired government officials from Central/State Govt, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, Universities, or Government R&D Organizations. Candidates must possess significant, specialized experience—a minimum of 35 years in R&D for technical roles (Electronics & Communication Engineering, missile systems) or 15 years in project administration, finance, audit, and logistics for administrative roles. Preference will be given to those with prior DRDO experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to effectively contribute to critical defence projects.

Individuals who have not formally retired from the specified government or public sector entities, or those lacking the extensive required experience (minimum 15 years for admin, 35 years for technical) and specific educational background (Diploma in ECE for technical posts) should not apply. Furthermore, retired government servants must have a gap of at least 15 days between their retirement and the date of application. Applicants who are not Indian citizens or do not meet the maximum age limit of 63 years as of the closing date will be ineligible.
