IISER Bhopal is an autonomous Institute of National Importance established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Department of Chemistry houses state-of-the-art instrumentation facilities including high-field NMRs (400, 500, 700 MHz), HRMS, Single-Crystal XRD, and HPLC systems. Under Prof. Manmohan Kapur in the Organic Chemistry & Synthesis (OCS) Lab, research is focused on enantioselective remote functionalization, transition-metal-catalyzed C-H activation, and collective total synthesis of complex natural products and OLED bis-spirofluorenes. The work requires rigorous lab safety protocols, multi-step synthetic execution, and analytical characterization.
