Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), established near GIFT City, Gandhinagar in academic partnership with the University of Edinburgh (UK), offers advanced biotechnology research infrastructure. The selected JRF will work under Dr. Vishal Suthar (Associate Professor) and Dr. Imran Pancha (Assistant Professor) on the GSBTM-funded research project 'Unveiling Gujarat's Probiotic Treasures Dahi-दहि निधि: An initiative toward vocal for local'. The work involves laboratory cultivation of lactic acid bacteria, isolation of novel probiotic strains from indigenous fermented dairy products of Gujarat, metagenomics sequencing, microbial consortia development, and chromatographic metabolite profiling (LC-MS/GC-MS).
