  • Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering / relevant subject; OR
  • M.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering (2-year program) from ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges; and
  • B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering (4 or 5-year program) with first division or equivalent OGPA from ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges; and
  • At least 3 years of teaching or research experience evidenced through Fellowship, Associateship, Training, or other institutional engagements; and
  • At least one published research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS rated ≥ 4.0 journal.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Posting & Transfer Policy

The position is strictly temporary and on a contractual basis for a duration not exceeding 11 months from date of joining. The engagement terminates automatically upon completion of 11 months or when a regular faculty appointment is made by ANGRAU, whichever is earlier. Contractual engagement can also be terminated at any time without notice, or candidates may resign by giving one month's notice or paying one month's salary.

As an 11-month contractual engagement, there is no direct promotion hierarchy or absorption claim into regular ANGRAU service. However, teaching associate experience at an ICAR-accredited constituent college of ANGRAU carries significant weightage (API points and interview credits) in future regular Assistant Professor selections across State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and ICAR institutes.
