IIT Kharagpur Librarian Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for Level 14 Post

Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation with at least 55% marks (or equivalent B grade on UGC 7-point scale) and a consistently good academic record.

Experience Requirements: Minimum 18 years of post-qualification library leadership experience as College/Assistant Librarian, OR at least 13 years of experience as Deputy Librarian (or equivalent in Pay Matrix Level 12) in a reputed university or technical institution. Must provide documented evidence of innovative digital library services and published research.

Desirable: Ph.D. or M.Phil in Library & Information Science, archives management, and hands-on expertise in library computerization and consortia management.

Candidates should preferably be below 57 years of age as on the closing date of online application (17-09-2026). Age and experience relaxations apply in exceptional cases or for analogous positions in CFTIs / Universities.
