Junior Associate

The starting Basic Pay for Junior Associates is Rs. 26730/- (which includes Rs. 24050/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). The pay scale is Rs. 24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480.

Total starting emoluments for a Clerical Cadre employee in Metro cities like Mumbai will be approximately Rs. 46,000/- per month, including Dearness Allowance (D.A.), other allowances at current rates, and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates.

Allowances may vary based on the place of posting. Employees are eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, Provident Fund, Pension under the New Pension Scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), Medical, Leave-Fare, and other facilities, as per Bank instructions.

The selection process consists of an online Preliminary Examination, an online Main Examination, and a Local Language Proficiency Test.

• Negative marking: 1/4th of the mark assigned for each wrong answer will be deducted.
• No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual tests or aggregate score. Section-wise marks will not be maintained.
• Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Exam (approximately 10 times the number of vacancies) based on aggregate marks scored in descending order.

• Negative marking: 1/4th of the mark assigned for each wrong answer will be deducted.
• Minimum percentage marks on aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates) will be decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects.
• Bonus marks: Trained apprentices of SBI will receive 2.5% of the maximum marks (5 marks out of 200) as bonus marks in the Main Examination if they meet specified experience criteria.

• Provisionally selected candidates who have not studied the specified local language in Class 10th or 12th will undergo an LLPT.
• The test pattern includes Non-Verbal (Objective) and Verbal (Subjective) sections.
• Candidates failing to qualify this test will not be offered appointment.
• The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added to the final merit list. Selection will be based solely on the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination.

2. Scroll down and click on the respective advertisement (Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17).
3. Download and carefully read the detailed advertisement.
4. Apply Online by registering on the portal.
5. Fill in the application form carefully. Candidates can save entered data and re-open/edit it up to three times. No changes or edits are allowed after final submission.
6. After ensuring correctness, pay the requisite application fee online using debit card/credit card/Internet Banking.
7. Upon successful transaction, an e-receipt and application form will be generated. Candidates should print these for record. No hard copy of the application form should be sent to SBI.
8. Keep a valid email ID and mobile number active until results are declared for receiving call letters and updates.

• Candidates must have a scanned (digital) image of their photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and a hand-written declaration as per the specified guidelines (dimensions, file size, content).
• The hand-written declaration text is: "I, (Name of the candidate), Date of Birth _________ hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine."
• Aadhaar details can be provided in the online application form for verification.
