Work Culture & Environment

Office/fieldwork balance, duties, organizational environment.

High clinical workload with 24x7 emergency and trauma casualty postings, active ward rounds, and heavy outpatient footfall at Hindu Rao Hospital and North DMC Medical College. Junior Residents independently manage emergency triage, intravenous cannulation, arterial blood gas sampling, lumbar punctures, CPR resuscitation, and initial clinical stabilization under senior consultant guidance.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Initial posting criteria, zone preferences, transfer liability.

Initial tenure is strictly for 06 months on contract, extendable by another 06 months (maximum cumulative tenure of 1 year for MBBS candidates), strictly contingent upon satisfactory conduct and clinical performance. No regular government servant benefits (provident fund, pension, gratuity, medical claims, or promotional seniority) are applicable.

Career & Promotion Ladder

Promotion timeline, seniority ladder, pay grade scaling.

No direct promotional ladder exists due to the contractual, fixed-tenure nature of the junior residency. However, 1 year of completed junior residency fulfills mandatory eligibility requirements for Senior Residency, DNB/MD/MS post-graduate counseling experience credits, and state medical officer recruitments.
