The Mittayi Project is a flagship community healthcare initiative of the Social Justice Department, Government of Kerala, executed through the Kerala Social Security Mission (KSSM). Stationed at the KSSM State Headquarters in Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, the Medical Officer serves as the clinical and administrative linchpin of the project across Kerala. Key duties include scrutinizing online applications on the Mittayi software, coordinating specialized Mittayi clinics across Government Medical College Hospitals and satellite centers, overseeing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump provisioning, evaluating pediatric diabetes treatment records, and presenting clinical cases before the State Technical Committee. The work involves high clinical responsibility and close liaison with pediatric endocrinologists and parents of diabetic children.

Stationed at the Kerala Social Security Mission, Social Welfare Institutional Complex, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala (695012) with occasional coordination visits to Mittayi clinics across state medical colleges. The appointment is on a contractual basis initially for a period of one year from the date of joining, extendable based on performance, integrity, and institutional requirements of KSSM.
