Cadre-wise Educational Qualifications & Experience:

  • Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Recognized MBBS degree and MD/MS/DNB in the concerned clinical/pre-clinical specialty as per NMC (MCI) guidelines, with requisite post-PG teaching experience as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Senior Resident. Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) and Revised Basic Course Workshop (RBCW/BCMET) certifications required as per NMC norms.
  • Senior Resident (3-Year & 1-Year): MBBS degree with PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) or Diploma in the concerned specialty from an NMC-recognized institution.
  • Medical Officer (DCBO Gondia): MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized medical college with compulsory rotatory internship completion and active State Medical Council / NMC registration.
  • Part Time Ayurvedic Physician: BAMS degree from a recognized university under IMCC Act 1970, with active central/state Indian Medicine council enrollment. Post-graduate qualification in Ayurveda preferred.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age limit as on 02/11/2026: Teaching Faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) not exceeding 68 years (maximum engagement up to 70 years); Senior Residents not exceeding 45 years; Medical Officers in DCBOs and Part-Time Ayurvedic Physician not exceeding 35 years. Age relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen apply as per Government of India rules.

Faculty and resident doctors work in ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Bibvewadi, Pune, a modern central tertiary care hospital affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and governed under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. The role combines inpatient/outpatient clinical care for insured persons (IPs) and their families with MBBS undergraduate clinical teaching and academic department administration. Full-time contractual doctors are strictly prohibited from engaging in private practice. Mandatory daily attendance is logged via Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS).
