(or Integrated M.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology or equivalent from an Institute of National Importance (INI) or AICTE-approved University/Institution with minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10) in M.E. / M.Tech.
• Route 2 (Direct Undergraduate from INI): B.E. / B.Tech. in CSE/IT from an Institute of National Importance (IITs/NITs) with minimum 85% marks or 9.0 CGPA (out of 10).
• Category Relaxation: For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA is applicable.
• Desirable: Valid GATE / NET qualification, strong computer programming proficiency (Python/R), and background in spatio-temporal data modeling, GIS, or machine learning.
• Project Scope: ICMR sponsored research project entitled 'Spatio-temporal predictive modelling of mental-wellbeing using GIS, climate and environmental determinants in India' (Code: R.11020/01/2026-GIA/ISRM/BMS) in Department of CSE, NIT Calicut.
• Tenure & Doctoral Opportunity: Initial engagement for 1 year (extendable up to 3 years). Selected candidates may get an opportunity to enroll for Ph.D. at NIT Calicut as per Institute Ph.D. regulations.
