Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree with Honours (+3 Degree) in the respective practical subject (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Anthropology, Education, Geology, Statistics, Psychology, Home Science, Geography). Candidates must be citizens of India, permanent residents of Odisha, and have passed Odia as a language subject in the H.S.C. examination or equivalent.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidates must be between 21 and 42 years of age as on 1st January 2026 (born between 01.01.1984 and 01.01.2005). Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC, Women, and Ex-Servicemen (up to 47 years); 10 years for PwD candidates (up to 52 years); and 15 years for PwD candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC categories (up to 57 years).

Selection is based solely on a Written Examination (OMR or CBT mode) consisting of 100 Multiple Choice Questions carrying a total of 150 marks for a duration of 2 hours. Each correct answer carries 1.5 marks, while 0.5 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% (60 marks) for Unreserved candidates and 30% (45 marks) for SC, ST, SEBC, and PwD candidates. Allocation to Government Degree Colleges or Non-Government Aided Colleges is made strictly on merit-cum-preference, followed by verification of original documents.
