SMPK Dy Materials Manager Recruitment 2026

• Cadre Eligibility: Eligible officers from Major Port Authorities holding analogous posts or feeder post (Deputy Materials Manager / Executive Engineer Mechanical & Electrical) with 5 years regular service in the IDA pay scale of Rs. 50,000 - 1,60,000/- (pre-revised Rs. 9,100 - 15,100/-).
• Educational Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in Executive Cadre in the field of Materials Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering in an Industrial, Commercial, or Government Undertaking.
• Desirable: Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Materials Management from a recognized University or Institution.

Upper age limit specified in Recruitment Rules for direct recruitment is 35 years. For appointment on deputation from Major Port Authorities, standard guidelines apply (ordinarily not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date 05.11.2026).

1. Eligible officers from Major Port Authorities must obtain the prescribed Application Proforma (Annexure-III) from the circular or official website (smportkolkata.shipping.gov.in).
2. Complete the bio-data application form with details of educational qualifications, service history in feeder grade, and experience in executive cadre.
3. Forward the application through the Cadre Controlling Authority / Administrative Port along with certified copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years (attested by an officer not below Dy. HOD on each page), educational/experience certificates, Administrative NOC (Annexure-IV), applicant undertaking not to withdraw candidature, vigilance clearance (Annexure-V), and two self-attested passport photographs.
4. The forwarding authority must send the complete dossier in a sealed envelope superscribed 'Application for the post of Dy Materials Manager Gr-I on deputation/absorption basis' to: The Secretary, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Kolkata, 15, Strand Road, Kolkata - 700001 on or before 05.11.2026 (advance copy accepted if routed application arrives by 20.11.2026).
