Project JRFs in the Department of Civil Engineering at NIT Warangal participate in high-level experimental and computational research in advanced structural materials and technical textiles. Working under the mentorship of Dr. S. Anitha Priyadharshani on a project sponsored by the National Technical Textiles Mission (Ministry of Textiles), the fellow will fabricate, test, and characterize braided fiber-reinforced polymeric (FRP) rebars and study their structural performance in reinforced concrete elements. Duties encompass casting concrete specimens, conducting tensile/bond pull-out tests in the Heavy Structures Laboratory, and carrying out non-linear finite element modeling using software such as ABAQUS or ANSYS.

The position is purely temporary and coterminous with the research project for an approved tenure of 21 months. Fellows are stationed full-time at the NIT Warangal campus in Telangana.
