Educational Qualification

For Technician Apprentice: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, or Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). For Trade Apprentice: 10th pass with 2-year ITI in Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist. For Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Degree (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved). For Data Entry Operator: Class 12th pass (below graduate). Candidates with B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, or LLB are not eligible.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 30.09.2026. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST (up to 29 years), 3 years for OBC-NCL (up to 27 years), and 10 to 15 years for PwBD candidates.

Apprenticeship training at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Marketing Division), Western Region across locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Trainees gain hands-on industrial exposure at IOCL petroleum terminals, bulk depots, aviation fueling stations (AFS), LPG bottling plants, and regional marketing offices. Apprentices work on maintenance of pumping stations, electrical switchgears, flow meters, PLC/SCADA instrumentation, terminal automation, retail sales operations, inventory control, and data entry.

Exactly 12 months statutory training under the Apprentices Act 1961. Training locations are strictly within the allotted state/location in Western Region.

This is purely apprenticeship training and confers NO right or obligation for permanent employment in IOCL. However, the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) and 1 year of verified PSU terminal experience provide an indispensable prerequisite and qualifying eligibility for subsequent Junior Engineering Assistant (JEA), Technical Attendant, and Non-Executive direct recruitment examinations conducted by IOCL Refineries, Pipelines, and Marketing Divisions.
