Candidates must possess: (1) NIS or equivalent degree, or passed 6-month Sports Authority of India (SAI) Gandhinagar course with minimum 1 year coaching experience; OR (2) C.P.Ed. / D.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. qualification and physically fit physical education teacher; OR (3) HSC (12th Pass) and participated in the relevant sport at National/State level or 2 years coaching experience. Preference will be given to National/State level medal winners in relevant sports.

Honorary Coaches at Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) are engaged on an 11-month fixed contract to conduct daily coaching sessions for citizens, youth, and athletes at the newly established Sports Complex in Navagam Dindoli (South East Zone). The role involves field coaching, equipment maintenance, batch management, and organizing local sports events. Work atmosphere is practical and community-focused with morning and evening court/field shifts.
