Educational Qualification

Accounts Assistant (01 Post): Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) with Major in Accountancy from a UGC/AICTE-recognised University/Institution. Minimum 1 year relevant accounts experience (preferably in Govt/Autonomous/PSU). Desirable: PGDCA and working knowledge of Tally ERP, GST, TDS, TCS, ITR filing, EPF, and CPF.
Junior Field Assistant - Surveyor (01 Post): HSSLC (10+2) with ITI Certificate in Surveying (Surveyor Trade) or equivalent. Desirable: Knowledge in mapping, GPS/GNSS tools, field measurement, map reading, wetlands walking, and geotagging.
Junior Field Assistant - COPA (01 Post): HSSLC (10+2) with ITI Certificate in COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) or equivalent. Desirable: Knowledge in data entry, web portals, spreadsheets, and GIS software.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2026. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per Assam State Government rules.

• Accounts Assistant: Walk-in interview on 29th September, 2026 (Registration: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM; Interview from 11:00 AM).
• Junior Field Assistant (Surveyor & COPA): Walk-in interview on 6th October, 2026 (Registration: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM; Interview from 11:00 AM).
• Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and holding permanent residency of Assam will be allowed to appear. No TA/DA is admissible.

Assam State Space Application Centre (ASSAC) serves as the apex state agency for remote sensing, GIS, and GPS spatial mapping under the Science, Technology and Climate Change Department, Government of Assam. Accounts Assistants manage project budgets, GST/TDS compliance, CPF records, and expenditure monitoring at Bigyan Bhawan, Guwahati. Junior Field Assistants undertake intensive ground-truthing, GPS/GNSS waypoint logging, mapping of wetlands, and spatial data entry into GIS applications. Field roles involve significant outdoor physical activity across Assam wetlands and rural terrains.
