BHEL Trichy Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 60 Diploma Posts

Eligibility criteria for Technician Apprentice at BHEL Tiruchirappalli under Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973:
• Educational Qualification: High School (10th) pass and regular full-time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Mechanical, Computer, Civil, ECE, EEE) completed in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026) from a Government-recognized polytechnic/institute.
• Minimum Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate marks for UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS candidates and minimum 50% marks for SC / ST candidates.
• Disqualifications: Distance learning, part-time, correspondence, or sandwich diplomas are not eligible. Candidates with 1 year or more prior work experience or previous apprenticeship training are barred.
• State Domicile Rule: Candidates who completed their Diploma from institutions located within the State of Tamil Nadu will only be considered for selection (other state candidates considered only if vacancies remain unfilled).
• Duration: 1 Year (12 months).

Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01.08.2026 for Unreserved candidates. Upper age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST (up to 32 years), 3 years for OBC (NCL) (up to 30 years), and 10 years for PwBD candidates (up to 37 years).

Candidates must first register on the Ministry of Education/GOI NATS 2.0 portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) to obtain a 12/16 digit Student Enrolment No. This unique Student Enrolment No. is mandatory for submitting the online application in the BHEL portal.

Following successful registration on the NATS portal, candidates have to apply online through the BHEL Trichy portal in the link https://trichy.bhel.com. Only online applications will be accepted.

Applicants need to upload the following scanned documents as per the size indicated in the portal:

• Latest colour passport size photograph
• Signature
• 10th Standard mark sheet
• Consolidated mark sheet of prescribed educational qualification
• Community Certificate (SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PWD Certificates). OBC (NCL)/EWS certificates should be as per latest government guidelines and not more than one year old.
• Aadhaar card
• Candidate's profile home page screenshot of Govt. Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in).
• Bank passbook front page as uploaded in Govt. Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in), which should be Aadhaar seeded and DBT enabled.

Incomplete applications, applications not fulfilling eligibility criteria/parameters, or applications received in mode/form other than online will be rejected. Candidates must ensure the correctness of all information before final submission and retain a copy of the online application for future reference and document verification.

Reservation: Out of the total training vacancies, 19% are reserved for SC, 1% for ST, 27% for OBC (NCL), 10% for EWS, and 4% for Physically Challenged candidates respectively. Reservation for dependents of regular Employees (Serving/Retired/Deceased) is as per Company rules.
