Educational Qualification

Post-wise educational qualifications and experience criteria:

  • Specialist (Full-Time / Part-Time): PG Degree or Diploma in concerned specialty recognized by MCI/NMC. Experience required: Minimum 3 years experience after acquiring PG Degree OR 5 years experience after acquiring PG Diploma in the concerned specialty.
  • Senior Resident (under 3-Year Residency Scheme): PG Degree or Diploma in concerned specialty registered with MCI/NMC. If PG Degree/Diploma candidates are not available in a particular specialty, candidates possessing MBBS with 2 years experience in the concerned specialty may also be considered.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age criteria as on date of walk-in-interview (23.09.2026):

  • Specialist (Full Time / Part Time): Not exceeding 69 years. (Tenure beyond 70 years is not permissible).
  • Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

The clinical workload includes high-volume outpatient clinics, emergency trauma care, in-patient wards, and specialty surgeries. Full-Time Contractual Specialists and Senior Residents are strictly barred from private practice, while Part-Time Specialists operate on fixed 16-hour weekly duty schedules with emergency call allowances.

Posting is located at ESIC Hospital Bhilai (Chhattisgarh). Specialist contracts are valid for 1 year or until regular incumbents join, whichever is earlier. Resignation within the initial 6 months forfeits experience certification.

Remuneration structure:

  • Full-Time Specialist: Consolidated Rs. 1,37,837/- per month plus TA and DA on TA.
  • Part-Time Specialist: Rs. 60,000/- per month for 16 hours/week (max 4 hours/day) + Rs. 15,000/- for emergency calls + Rs. 800/- per additional hour.
  • Senior Resident: Rs. 1,37,837/- per month plus TA and DA on TA (PG Degree holder).

Pay Level-11 entry remuneration under Central Government rules. Full-time Specialists and Senior Residents receive Rs. 1,37,837/- per month plus TA and DA on TA (for PG Degree). For Senior Residents, deductions of Rs. 1,350/- apply for Diploma holders and Rs. 2,250/- for MBBS without PG qualification. Part-time Specialists receive Rs. 60,000/- per month for 16 hours/week plus emergency visit charges.
