Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: Full-time Master of Social Work (MSW) postgraduate degree from a Government-recognized University or Institute.
• Experience (Assistant Manager): Minimum 7 years of post-qualification executive-level experience in a reputed private organization (with minimum monthly CTC of ₹ 70,000/-) OR 5 years in Government/PSUs handling land acquisition under RFCTLARR Act 2013 and R&R implementation.
• Experience (Sr. Executive / Executive): Minimum 3 years (for Sr. Executive) or 2 years (for Executive) of executive experience in R&R, social development, and stakeholder liaisoning.
• Desirable Preference: Minimum 5 to 7 years of work experience in Gujarat State urban/revenue departments, familiarity with Gujarati language and typing, and local urban geography (Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar/Surat).

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age as on 03/10/2026: 35 years for Assistant Manager; 32 years for Sr. Executive and Executive. Age limit not applicable to internal GMRC employees.

The Land Acquisition (LA) and Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) wing at Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) executes critical socio-legal mandates across the Ahmedabad Metro Phase-I & Phase-II and Surat Metro Phase-I project corridors. The role involves administering the RFCTLARR Act 2013, conducting baseline socio-economic surveys, managing public hearings, implementing R&R policies, coordinating alternative commercial and residential rehabilitation, livelihood restoration programs, and handling inter-agency liaison. The work requires high field mobility, conflict management, cross-departmental coordination with urban revenue staff, and fluency in Gujarati.

Posting & Transfer Policy
