Crucial Application Warnings & Eligibility Traps

Avoid common application rejection triggers, photo/signature guidelines, and certificate validity windows.

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS certificates MUST be issued on or after 01.04.2026 and must be in the Central Government format; state-specific formats or expired certificates will result in automatic reclassification to Unreserved (UR).
  • Separate applications and examination fees must be submitted if applying for multiple posts (e.g. Junior Assistant and Laboratory Attendant).
  • Departmental candidates and contractual employees directly engaged by DU or its colleges receive age relaxation, but outsourced agency or project-based workers are strictly excluded from this benefit.
  • Junior Assistant applicants must achieve the minimum prescribed typing benchmark (English @ 35 wpm or Hindi @ 30 wpm on computer) in the qualifying skill test; failure in typing disqualifies even high written scorers.
