Educational Qualification

First-class M.Sc. or M.Tech degree in Botany, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Plant Molecular Biology from a UGC-recognized university. Candidates with CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or national-level examination qualification qualify for Junior Research Fellow (JRF). Candidates without NET/GATE will be considered for Project Associate-I. Hands-on research experience in plant molecular genetics or plant biochemistry is desirable.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit is 28 years for JRF and 35 years for Project Associate-I as per DST guidelines, with standard 5-year relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PwD and 3-year relaxation for OBC candidates.
