Educational Qualification

Project Scientist-III: Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Pharmacy / Clinical Pharmacology / Clinical Epidemiology / Public Health / Biostatistics / Health Economics / Health Technology Assessment or Pharm.D with 5 years experience OR Ph.D. in relevant discipline with 2 years experience (Max 45 years).
Project Scientist-II: Post Graduate Degree in relevant discipline or Pharm.D with 3 years experience OR Ph.D. in relevant discipline (Max 40 years).
Desirable: Hands-on experience in systematic reviews, meta-analysis (RevMan, CMA, STATA, R, Python), GRADE methodology, and first-author SCI publications.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Project Scientist-III: Maximum 45 years; Project Scientist-II: Maximum 40 years as on 08.10.2026. Age and experience relaxations are admissible in exceptionally meritorious cases upon recommendation of the Screening Committee.

National Institute of Importance research environment at NIPER Guwahati campus in Changsari, Assam. Project Scientists work within the Technical Resource Hub under the Centre for Evidence-Based Guidelines (sponsored by DHR, MoHFW), focusing on evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, network meta-analysis, and formulating national healthcare practice guidelines using GRADE methodology. Work involves extensive statistical computing (R, Python, STATA, RevMan) and collaboration with clinical experts. Standard academic research hours (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday).
