National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW), established in 1959 as the first Regional Engineering College in India, spans a lush 256-acre campus in Kazipet/Hanamkonda, Warangal. The Department of Civil Engineering houses advanced laboratories in Water Resources Engineering, equipped with GIS software, satellite telemetry, and computational hydrologic simulation clusters. The JRF scholar will work under Principal Investigator Dr. Jew Das on the ANRF-funded project investigating land-atmosphere coupling and compound climatic extremes across India. Selected fellows have the distinct opportunity to register for Ph.D. at NIT Warangal, with GATE-qualified fellows exempted from the written entrance exam.
