Educational Qualification

Post-wise Educational Qualifications:

  • AYUSH Medical Officer (3 Posts): Degree in Ayurveda (BAMS), Unani (BUMS), Homoeopathy (BHMS), or Naturopathy (BNYS) from a UGC-recognized university after 4½ years regular study with 1 year compulsory rotatory internship. Must be registered with Board of Indian Medicine, Telangana.
  • Pharmacist (1 Post): D.Pharm, B.Pharm, or Pharm.D from a recognized institution and valid registration with the Telangana Pharmacy Council.
  • Psychosocial Counselor (1 Post): Master of Social Work (MSW) postgraduate degree from a UGC-recognized university.
  • Yoga Professional (1 Post): Degree in Naturopathy (BNYS) or Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (DNYS) from a recognized university/statutory board.
  • Multi-Purpose Worker (2 Posts): Passed Class VII (7th standard) examination and ability to ride a bicycle or motorcycle.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate must be minimum 18 years and maximum 44 years as on 01/07/2026. Age relaxations in upper age limit apply as follows: SC, ST, and BC candidates: 5 years (up to 49 years); Ex-Servicemen: 3 years in addition to length of military service; Physically Disabled persons: 10 years (up to 54 years).

  • Qualifying Academic Merit / Written Test (90 Marks): 90 marks are allotted based on aggregate percentage marks in qualifying examinations for AYUSH Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Psychosocial Counselor, and Yoga Professional. For Multi-Purpose Worker (MPW), 90 marks are evaluated through a written test notified on the official website.
  • Age Weightage (10 Marks): For all posts, up to 10 marks are awarded for age reckoned as on 01/07/2026 (0.5 mark for each completed year over 18 years of age).
  • Merit List & Reservation: Final merit list is formulated combining academic/test marks and age marks, duly applying Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules and the Presidential Order (95% local reservation).

Personnel appointed on an outsourcing basis in Siddipet District operate under the administrative control of the Director, Department of AYUSH, T.G., Secunderabad.
