Teams work hand-in-hand with Targeted Intervention (TI) NGOs and community-based organizations serving High-Risk Groups (HRGs—Female Sex Workers, Men who have Sex with Men, Transgender persons, and Injecting Drug Users) and bridge populations (truckers, migrant workers). Research Assistants map geographical hotspots, conduct quantitative behavioral surveys using mobile CAPI tools, and ensure respondent confidentiality. Laboratory Technicians perform aseptic capillary blood collection using the Dried Blood Spot (DBS) method on Whatman 903 filter paper cards, packaging specimens under cold-chain / desiccated conditions for shipment to regional reference laboratories. The working environment is community-embedded, grassroots, field-intensive, and culturally sensitive.
