Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: Full-time Master's Degree (PG) in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work OR Master in Social Work (General / MSW) OR MSW through distance education from a recognized University.
• Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of social work experience in a Government department or registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a Tuberculosis hospital.
• Language & Computer Requirements: Must have passed Secondary / Higher Secondary (10th/12th) with Marathi (100 marks) and English (100 marks). Fluent spoken and written command of Marathi, Hindi, and English is required. Must possess MS-CIT, DOEACC (CCC/'O'/'A'/'B'/'C' level), or GECT computer qualification, along with working knowledge of BMC's HMIS (Hospital Management Information System) software.

The CDO serves as a critical bridge between patients, families, and healthcare administration. Key responsibilities include administering the hospital's Poor Box Fund to assist indigent patients, coordinating social welfare support, counseling destitute and abandoned TB patients, tracking patient compliance with long-term anti-TB treatment regimens, and organizing educational and psycho-social support programs. Work hours are strictly day shift (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) with mandatory biometric attendance twice daily.
