Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: MBBS degree with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma/DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized University or Institution.
• Experience Alternative: In the absence of a PG degree, candidates with 3 years experience in the concerned specialty (2 years for Medicine-Casualty) from a recognized hospital are eligible.
• DMC Registration: Valid registration with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC) is mandatory (or DMC receipt with certificate submission within 2 weeks of joining).
• Tenure Constraint: Candidates who have not completed 3 years of Senior Residency will be given priority; candidates who have already completed 3 years may be considered if fresh applicants are unavailable.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 45 years as on the date of interview. Standard age relaxations are admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government of India / GNCTD instructions.

Senior Resident doctors manage high patient volumes across emergency casualty, general outpatient clinics (OPD), inpatient wards, neonatal/pediatric units, and operation theatres. Appointees work in rigorous rotational shift schedules, including 12-hour/24-hour emergency on-call duties. Notably, Senior Residents in Radiology are officially permitted and scheduled to work 2 to 3 days a week in the Department of Radiology at Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital, Hari Nagar, providing extensive exposure to advanced multi-slice CT, MRI, and ultrasonography.
