Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess an MBBS degree along with a recognized MD, DNB, or Diploma in Pathology. The candidate must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC) with MBBS and the requisite postgraduate qualification on or before the day of the interview, or provide proof of having applied for PG DMC registration.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 45 years for General/Unreserved candidates as on the date of interview (28.09.2026). Age relaxation for reserved categories is admissible as per Govt. of NCT of Delhi / Central Government rules. Candidates who have completed 3 years of Senior Residency may also be considered in case of non-availability of fresh candidates as per Delhi Health & Family Welfare circular dated 10.06.2011.

Fast-paced hospital laboratory environment at Indira Gandhi Hospital (a 1241-bedded major Delhi government tertiary hospital in Dwarka). Duties include surgical pathology grossing, histopathology reporting, cytopathology (FNAC), hematology, clinical pathology, routine blood banking supervision, and emergency lab call duties in coordination with clinical and surgical teams.

Stationed at Indira Gandhi Hospital, Sector-9, Dwarka, New Delhi. The engagement is initially for 89 days on an adhoc basis, extendable upon satisfactory work and conduct report as per GNCTD Health & Family Welfare department guidelines, up to a maximum tenure of 3 years under the Residency Scheme or until regular incumbents join.

However, completion of Senior Residency at a recognized Delhi Government tertiary care hospital fulfills the mandatory teaching/clinical experience required by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for Assistant Professor appointments or specialist postings in government/corporate hospitals.
