The Medical Officer operates at the Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) Centre within Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr. RMLIMS), Lucknow, established in collaboration with NACO and UPSACS. Day-to-day duties involve clinical evaluation of People Living with HIV (PLHIV), prescribing and dispensing antiretroviral therapy, diagnosing and treating opportunistic infections (especially TB-HIV coinfections), supervising viral load and CD4 monitoring, and ensuring adherence counseling. The work culture is outpatient-clinic based with standard hospital daytime hours and administrative documentation in NACO's IMS database.
