Educational Qualification

Post-wise educational qualification criteria:

  • Scientist C (Medical) - 01 Post (UR): MD/MS/DNB with 1 year R&D/teaching experience in Microbiology/Virology/Parasitology; OR Post Graduate Diploma with 2 years experience; OR MBBS degree recognized by MCI with 4 years experience; OR BDS/B.V.Sc & AH with 5 years experience. Desirable: MD in relevant subject, molecular laboratory experience (PCR, primer design), bioinformatics, and PubMed indexed publications.
  • Scientist B (Non-Medical) - 01 Post (UR): 1st Class M.Sc. in MLT, Virology, Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Biotechnology, Parasitology, Biochemistry, or M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics with 2 years of R&D/teaching experience; OR 2nd Class M.Sc./M.Tech with Ph.D. and 2 years experience. Desirable: Ph.D. in relevant subject, real-time PCR, sequencing, NGS, and PubMed publications.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 40 years as on 13th October 2026 for both Scientist C and Scientist B posts. Relaxations apply as per Government of India norms.
