Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess an MBBS degree with a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma (MD/MS/DNB/Diploma) or equivalent qualification in the concerned specialty recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC). In case PG candidates are not available, Non-PG MBBS doctors with at least 2 years of clinical experience in the concerned specialty may be considered. Candidates must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC) and must not have completed 3 years of Senior Residency.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit is 45 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) is admissible as per Government of India rules upon submission of valid disability certificate.

Candidate registration is open from 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM sharp at the Admin Office, 4th Floor, Ambedkar Nagar Hospital. A selection board evaluates candidates on clinical competency, academic records, and relevant specialty experience. Fresh candidates who have not completed 3 years of Senior Residency are given top priority; candidates who have already completed 3 years of SR-ship are considered under relaxed norms only if fresh candidates are unavailable.

Initial engagement is on an emergent ad-hoc basis for 89 days (or 44 days if filled from General category against reserved vacancies). Appointment is extendable in 89/44-day increments with a mandatory one-day break, up to a maximum cumulative tenure of 3 years (inclusive of prior SR service rendered in any Govt hospital). The ad-hoc appointment terminates automatically when a regular UPSC/DSSSB candidate joins.
