The Embryologist (Scientist Gr-1) is attached to the Advanced Reproductive Technology (ART) and IVF Centre in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Key responsibilities include handling human gametes and embryos, gamete preparation, in-vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo culture, vitrification, cryopreservation of gametes/embryos, and maintaining strict quality control / bio-security protocols mandated under the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021. The environment is highly clinical and time-sensitive, requiring adherence to aseptic laboratory conditions, biometric attendance, and strict prohibition of private practice.

Posting & Transfer Policy

The appointment is purely on a contractual basis initially for 3 months, extendable up to 1 year based on satisfactory clinical performance and institutional requirements. Appointees are stationed exclusively at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, NH-3, NIT, Faridabad, Haryana. The post is non-regular, non-pensionable (no PF, pension, or gratuity entitlement), and does not confer any right to regular absorption in ESIC.
