Educational Qualification

Post-wise educational qualification criteria:
• Research Associate (RA): Ph.D. degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics & Plant Breeding / Biotechnology / Botany / allied disciplines of Life Sciences.
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Master's degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics & Plant Breeding / Seed Science & Technology / Biotechnology / allied Life Sciences with 4 or 5 years of Bachelor's degree. Candidates holding a 3-year Bachelor's and 2-year Master's degree in Basic Sciences must have qualified CSIR/UGC/ICAR-NET or GATE, along with 2 years of proven research experience as per ICAR guidelines.
Desirable: Experience in gene expression, molecular markers, double haploid (DH) facility handling, or molecular breeding in field crops.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age limit reckoned as on the date of walk-in interview (13.10.2026):
• Research Associate: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women.
• Senior Research Fellow: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
• Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST and Women candidates; 3 years for OBC candidates.
