Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree (minimum 2 years duration after graduation) in Retail and Fashion Merchandise or General Management (MBA / PGDM) with at least 55% marks from a recognized University or Institute. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of academic and/or industry experience in retail store operations and specialized domains including Retail Operations, Mall Management, Store Design, HRM, Visual Merchandising, and Managerial Economics. Preference will be given to candidates with both teaching and industry experience at undergraduate or postgraduate levels.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 35 years for General (UR) candidates, 38 years for OBC candidates, 40 years for SC/ST candidates, and 45 years for PwD candidates.

Junior Faculty members in the School of Retail and Fashion Merchandise at Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), Guna Campus (an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry) instruct undergraduate students in retail operations, store design, visual merchandising, and general management. Work involves 5-day lecture schedules, classroom instruction, ERP attendance updates, continuous student project evaluations, practical assignments, and supporting academic administration under the Head of Department (HOD) and Executive Director.

It can be extended for further periods of up to 6 months at a time based on institutional requirements and performance reviews. Remuneration is fixed at ₹ 50,000/- per month with 2 casual leaves per month; no regular benefits such as HRA, medical, or LTC are provided. Temporary hostel/campus accommodation may be allocated subject to availability and payment of institutional charges.
