Candidates must fulfill either of the following educational criteria as on 17.10.2026:
- Option 1: Bachelor's Degree in Yoga or Yoga & Naturopathy with at least 55% marks from a recognized University, plus a minimum of 2 years of documented experience in Yoga Therapy in a reputed Institute or Hospital; OR
- Option 2: Any Graduate degree from a recognized University established under the UGC Act, with a post-graduate/post-degree Diploma in Yoga of at least 1-year duration (min. 55% marks) from a recognized University/Institute, plus at least 5 years of practical experience in Yoga in a reputed Yoga Institute or Hospital.
- Certification & Practical Skills: Level-II (Therapy Level) Certificate from the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) (candidates without current certificate must complete it within 3 months of joining) and proven demonstration skills in Yogic practices for the practical skill test.
- Desirable: Experience in traditional Yoga Therapy from an institute of national repute, computer proficiency, research project experience in yoga therapy/case studies, and working knowledge of Tamil, Hindi, English, and Sanskrit.
