The Medical Officer at NIT Jamshedpur is stationed at the Institute Health Centre (Dispensary) located within the 341-acre residential campus in Adityapur, Jamshedpur. The doctor provides primary outpatient medical care, emergency first-aid, health checkups, and referrals to empanelled multispecialty hospitals (such as TMH Jamshedpur) for over 5,000 campus residents, including B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD students, faculty, and administrative staff. The duty schedule covers regular morning/evening dispensary consulting hours, emergency on-call availability, and supervising paramedical/nursing assistants.
