The Authorized Medical Officer (AMO) under ISRO/NRSC Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS) functions from their own established private clinical practice in Vijayawada rather than an in-house government dispensary. The AMO provides primary outpatient consultation, basic medical treatment, and specialized hospital/referral recommendations to attached NRSC/ISRO employee beneficiaries and their dependent family members. The work culture combines professional clinical independence with statutory administrative reporting and referral documentation using NRSC-supplied CHSS prescription and referral books.

The engagement is purely on a contractual retainer basis, initially for a tenure of 3 years, extendable by mutual consent. The practitioner operates from their own clinic located within Vijayawada (preferably within a 1 km radius between Benz Circle and Ramavarapupadu centre, near Autonagar Gate/Patamata). The clinic must be available for at least 6 hours daily (Monday to Saturday, plus Sunday morning hours).
