AYJNISHD is India premier national autonomous institute under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Faculty and clinical staff engage in direct therapeutic intervention, audiological evaluations, clinical training, and academic instruction for diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs. The work environment is highly clinical and service-oriented, focusing on comprehensive rehabilitation for hearing, speech, and communication disabilities.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Contractual appointments are made for an initial period of up to 3 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years based on annual performance appraisal. Selected staff are assigned to designated Composite Regional Centres (CRCs) in Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Chhatarpur, and Goa, Regional Centres in Kolkata, Secunderabad, Noida, and Janla, or Institute Headquarters in Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai.

These positions are strictly contractual with consolidated emoluments and do not confer rights for absorption into permanent cadres or standard pay commission promotion ladders. However, annual increments as prescribed by the Institute/DEPwD are admissible during the tenure, and service experience at AYJNISHD is highly valued for permanent faculty and clinical selections across national disability institutes and AIIMS.

Pay Scale & Monthly Remuneration

Consolidated monthly remuneration by cadre:
• Assistant Professor: ₹75,000/- p.m.
• Lecturer / Senior Consultant / Clinical Psychologist: ₹60,000/- p.m.
• Consultant / Clinical Assistant / Audiologist / Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist / Special Educator / Early Interventionist / Admin & Accounts Officer: ₹50,000/- p.m.
• Vocational Instructor / Teacher / Assistant: ₹45,000/- p.m.
• Nurse / Activity Teacher / Social Worker: ₹42,000/- p.m.
• PA to Director / Junior Consultant: ₹40,000/- p.m.
• Sign Language Interpreter / Ear Mould Technician: ₹35,000/- p.m.
• Plumber / Trained Caregiver: ₹30,000/- p.m.
• Data Entry Operator: ₹25,000/- p.m.
