Work Culture & Environment

Office/fieldwork balance, duties, organizational environment.

District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Trust Jajpur engages medical professionals under mining area development funds to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in major mining-affected belts like Sukinda (chromite mining belt) and Danagadi (Kalinganagar industrial corridor). Specialists provide high-value outpatient and inpatient care, surgical interventions, and emergency coverage at CHC Sukinda, CHC Danagadi, and PHC Kaliapani. GDMOs handle primary patient triage, maternal & child health, trauma, and referral duties. The work culture is demanding yet highly rewarding, providing clinical autonomy and serving underserved industrial and tribal communities.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Initial posting criteria, zone preferences, transfer liability.

The posting is at CHCs and PHCs across Sukinda and Danagadi blocks in Jajpur District, Odisha (CHC Sukinda, CHC Danagadi, PHC Kaliapani). Contractual engagement is initially for 11 months, with subsequent renewals subject to satisfactory performance and subsistence of the DMF healthcare programme. Positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with DMF programme requirements; they do not confer regularization under the Odisha Medical and Health Services (OMHS) cadre.

Career & Promotion Ladder

Promotion timeline, seniority ladder, pay grade scaling.

DMF contractual doctors do not have departmental promotions or seniority promotions in state service. However, the lucrative remuneration structure (₹25,000 per visit for Specialists; ₹80,000+ per month for GDMOs) combined with valuable clinical experience in government CHCs/PHCs makes this engagement attractive, and experience certificates are recognized for weightage in state medical officer recruitments and PG admissions.
Crucial Application Warnings & Eligibility Traps
