Educational Qualification

Qualifications are as per National Medical Commission (NMC) norms / Residency Scheme adopted by Aligarh Muslim University (AMU):

  • Assistant Professor (E.N.T.): Recognized post-graduate degree (MS/MD/DNB in Otorhinolaryngology/ENT) from an NMC-recognized institute with valid registration and required senior residency experience as per NMC guidelines.
  • Assistant Professor (Psychiatry): Recognized post-graduate degree (MD/DNB in Psychiatry) from an NMC-recognized institute with valid registration and requisite teaching/residency credentials.
  • Senior Resident (Medicine): Recognized post-graduate degree (MD/DNB in General Medicine) from an NMC-recognized institution with valid registration with NMC or State Medical Council.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age limit and relaxations are governed as per National Medical Commission (NMC) regulations and Aligarh Muslim University rules. Senior Residency age limit is generally up to 45 years in accordance with NMC norms.

Selection is conducted through the Local Selection Committee (LSC) on 31.10.2026 in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, JNMC, AMU, Aligarh.   • Assistant Professor: Academic Pay Level 10 (Entry basic pay ₹57,700 - ₹1,82,400) plus applicable central university allowances.
  • Senior Resident: Academic Pay Level 11 (Entry basic pay ₹67,700 - ₹2,08,700) plus NPA and other admissible allowances.

Appointments will be made on a purely temporary basis through Local Selection Committee (LSC) subject to termination at any time without notice or assignment of reason.
