ICAR-IARI Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in Interview for SRF & Young Professional-I Posts

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - 02 Posts: Master's degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Biotechnology with 4 or 5 years bachelor's degree. Candidates with 3-year bachelor's degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. Desirable: Experience in molecular breeding, biotechnology, and computer applications. Remuneration: ₹37,000/- + HRA (1st & 2nd yr) and ₹42,000/- + HRA (3rd yr).
• Young Professional-I (YP-I) - 01 Post: Graduation degree in Agricultural Science OR Diploma in Agricultural Sciences / Life Sciences or equivalent as per ICAR rules. Desirable: MS Office, molecular markers, emasculation, and pollination work. Remuneration: ₹30,000/- per month fixed (no HRA).
• Project Scope & Tenure: Under 'National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS) in Pigeonpea (12-289F)'. Contractual initially up to 31st March 2027 (for SRF) or 1 year (for YP-I), extendable based on performance and fund availability.

• SRF: Maximum 35 years.
• YP-I: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years.
Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates as per ICAR norms.

Interested and eligible candidates must attend a Walk-in Interview at the Division of Genetics, ICAR - Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi - 110012, on 22nd September 2026, at 10:00 A.M.

Candidates are required to bring the following documents:

• A duly filled and signed application form (as per the format annexed in the notification).
• Original copies of all educational and other relevant documents (from matriculation onwards).
• One set of self-attested photocopies of all required certificates.
• An attested copy of a recent passport-size photograph pasted on the application form.
• Date of birth certificate.
• NET/equivalent certificate (if applicable).
• Degree certificates (original or provisional).
• Proof of experience and publications (if any).
• A declaration regarding any near or distant relatives employed at ICAR/IARI. For YP-I candidates, this declaration, if applicable, must reach the Head, Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi via e-mail at [email protected] on or before 21/09/2026 (5:30 PM).

Candidates must ensure they possess the essential qualifications, as only such candidates will be entertained for the interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
