ICAR-IARI Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for 4 SRF Posts

Candidates must possess a Master's degree (M.Sc. / M.Tech) in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Plant Breeding, or Biotechnology with a 4-year or 5-year professional Bachelor's degree. Candidates holding a 3-year Bachelor's degree must additionally have qualified UGC / CSIR / ICAR NET (or equivalent) OR hold a Ph.D. in any of the specified disciplines as per ICAR norms. Desirable: Hands-on experience in molecular breeding, biotechnology laboratory techniques, and proficiency in computer applications.

Maximum 35 years as on the date of walk-in interview (15.09.2026). Age relaxation of 5 years is admissible for SC/ST and Women candidates (up to 40 years) and 3 years for OBC candidates (up to 38 years) as per Government of India / ICAR rules.

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview on 15th September 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12.

Candidates must bring the following documents at the time of the interview:

• Duly filled and signed application form (as per the format annexed in the notification).
• All original certificates from matriculation onwards (including date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, and degree certificates – original or provisional).
• One set of self-attested photocopies of all required certificates from matriculation onwards.
• An attested copy of a recent passport-size photograph pasted onto the application form.
• Proof of experience and publications (if any).
• A declaration form regarding any near or distant relatives employed in ICAR/IARI. This declaration must reach the Head, Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi by 21st September 2026 or be submitted at the time of the interview.
